Hospitality charity Springboard is calling for entries to its 10th annual Awards for Excellence which celebrates and rewards those promoting careers and talent in the hospitality industry.

There are 16 awards in total, divided into three categories: Promoting Careers, Attracting & Developing People, and Best Employment Practice across Hospitality, Leisure and Tourism.

Deadline for entries is 7 September 2012, with winners being announced on 18 October at Novotel London West – tickets for which are now on sale.

Entrants for the Springboard Awards for Excellence must provide an 800-word statement outlining their initiative using the given criteria. Entries need to be supported with relevant additional material to enhance your submission.

Ideal entrants will be inspiring and driven people, organisations and initiatives; those that work hard to elevate the profile of the industry as an employer, attract and retain talent, and demonstrate best employment practices.

A spokesperson for the Springboard charity said: “Entering the awards is motivational for employees and teams and beneficial for the profile of employers. Winning an award definitely has a significant and positive impact on both the business and your employees.”
