Jamie Barber, owner of Hush in Mayfair, has revealed plans to open a second Hush brasserie offshoot in St Pauls next summer.

The 3,500 sq.ft, 140-cover restaurant will be based in the 1 St Pauls development owned by  AXA Real Estate, which received over 20 offers for the unit.

“This is a very special site, overlooking the steps of St Paul’s Cathedral and I’m very excited to be bringing a touch of Hush to the City,” said Barber.

The restaurant’s menu will offer brasserie classics and will be open all day. It follows the successful opening of Hush brasserie in Holborn in June. Hush’s interiors will be overseen by Alex Michaelis of Michaelis Boyd, who designed Hush Mayfair and Hush brasserie Holborn, as well as Barber’s parallel restaurant group, Cabana.

BigHospitality initially broke news of the potential expansion of the Hush and Cabana concepts in this interview in May.Months later, the restaurateur revealed his Cabana restaurant in Westfield Stratford served more than 10,000 covers in the last week of the Olympics and he expects the Games to have a longer-lasting impact on businesses in the area.

UPDATE: Hush will open on 8 June.
