The new Oriental-style main course dish contains a full, boneless chicken breast in a medium-hot sweet chilli sauce. The meal is ideal for Chinese New Year menus and can also be served all year round as a pub classics dish.
The dish has a homemade appearance and chefs can experiment with presentation techniques and accompaniments or serve with rice, noodles, dumplings or chips and an Oriental-style salad. Gilbert's hopes the dish will add appeal to menus in hotels, restaurants, pubs and bars, catered events and other foodservice outlets.
The slow-cooked, individual portions (275g each) are made using the quality chicken breast meat, to a unique recipe using authentic Asian chillies designed by the team of development chefs at Gilbert’s Foods.
The quality, taste and texture of each product is also guaranteed for up to 12 months when kept in a freezer or cold store.
