The FriFri Vortech, a new, high-efficiency gas fryer for caterers, is to be displayed in the UK for the first time at The Hospitality Show next week.

Product details:

The high-efficiency gas fryer is able to cook 40kg of chips per hour from frozen or 51kg per hour from chilled.

It features electronic ignition and is designed to be easy to clean - there is unobstructed access to the tank and it features removable batter plates as well as a wide bore pipe so it drains easily.

The FriFri Vortech can also be ordered with in-built filtration to extend the life of the cooking oil.

According to the manufacturer, the majority of commercial fryers achieve efficiency ratings of around 50 per cent or 80 per cent for other high-efficiency products on the market. The FriFri Vortech has an independently verified efficiency rating of 97 per cent. It saves energy, reduces operating costs and is kinder to the environment.

A typical selling price from a dealer for the product without filtration is £2,800 or £3,800 with filtration - both models come with a two-year parts and labour warranty.

As a sister company to Lincat, FriFri product are available from any Lincat dealer - contact Lincat direct for more information on availability in your area.

Why should you buy it?

John Shepherd, international brand manager for FriFri, said: “If you’re looking to reduce your running costs, but you can’t afford to compromise on output or quality, the FriFri Vortech could be for you. It will cost a little more at the outset, but the money you’ll save on fuel can result in a payback period of less than two years."
