A topping out ceremony has been held at the site of the Cheval Three Quays development in London; Cheval Residences will launch 159 serviced and non-serviced apartments when construction is completed in early 2014.

Building work began on the north bank of The Thames, next to the Tower of London, in April 2010. Earlier this week, George Westwell, director of Cheval Residences, revealed details of the project at a ceremony to mark the completion of the superstructure of the property.

"For international and local business people and tourists alike, the property will transform the local landscape, as in addition to the apartments there will be 800sq.m of A3 retail and restaurant space on the ground floor level, which like many of the apartments will have superb views across the river," he said.

The development, one of the only ones within Zone One on the north bank, will also feature a William Pye water sculpture and design features to conserve the history of the site which housed three quays in the 17th Century.
