UK Meat Platter
The UK's award-winning meat platter was comprised of Roast fillet of Irish beef, cooked over English oak, mushroom and bone marrow farce, Hampshire truffles with Savoy cabbage and Wiltshire bacon with Hampshire truffle and potato cake with pickled mushrooms. "Boiled Beef & Carrots" - Scottish carrots filled with salt beef and mustard and Braised oxtail and cheek with pickled walnuts and root vegetables, onion puree.
This year Irish food board Bord Bia provided the meat for the competition, which had to include beef fillet and at least feather blade, ox cheek or oxtail.
