Tonia Buxton, cook and presenter of TV series My Greek Kitchen, has created four special dishes for restaurant group The Real Greek that are set to be included on the menu at all six of its London restaurants.

Buxton, known as the face of Greek and Cypriot cooking in the UK, will work with The Real Greek over the next year, creating new dishes for each changing season and hosting a series of special events.

Her first four dishes - Beef Stifado, Artichoke a la Polita, Koubebia and Prawns with Feta, appear on the menu from today and have been drawn from some of her family favourites.

TRG operations manager Christos Karatzenis said it made sense to get Buxton, 'a warm and enthusiastic ambassador' of Greek food, involved in the business. "We are delighted that she has joined us, a food-loving family at The Real Greek," he said.

The Real Greek, the first restaurant chain to include a calorie count on its full menu, currently operates six restaurants across London, at Westfield Stratford City, Westfield London, Bankside, Marylebone, Spitalfields and Covent Garden.
