Katerbay has launched a two new ranges of new ranges of catering equipment – ‘Omniwash’ warewashing machines and ‘Unifrost’ blast chillers/shock freezers.

Product details:

  • The new range of warewashing machines includes dish and glass washers and both undercounter and pass-through units.

The ‘workhorse’ of the Omniwash range is the EVO5000DDPS heavy-duty undercounter machine which offers two, three and four-minute wash cycles and comes with detergent and rinse aid pumps and a drain pump included as standard.

Measuring 590mm x 600mm x 820mm, the EVO5000DDPS fit underneath most work surface counters. It also has a 75kw motor and total loading of 3.45kw the machine is able to operate from a 20amp socket as well as offering reliable, quality results.

Product details:

The largest unit in the Unifrost blast chiller range is the BC10U which is capable of chilling 40kgs of product in just 90 minutes or freezing 28kgs in only 240 minutes.

Supplied with easy-to-use Dixel control panels, the models can be used for cooked or fresh food to preserve the taste, colour and nutritional value of the food whilst significantly reducing deterioration. Freezing food slowly in a normal freezer not only adversely affects other foods already stored, but also causes large ice crystals to form in the food which break intercellular membranes and cause the loss of liquids and vitamins. Blast freezing reduces the growth of the ice crystals, reducing the cell damage and with it the loss of nutritional value.

In addition to the improvement in food quality, these cabinets can also aid better use of time and reduce production costs, allowing food to be prepared in batches throughout the day and regenerated when needed.

Manufactured from 304 stainless steel the BC10U has touch controls and uses high quality components, whilst the 800mm x 815mm x 1645mm interior will accept either 10 x GN 1/1, 10 x 400mm x 600mm trays or a 10 grid rack.

Availability: Both of the enw product ranges are available now by calling 0845 872 500 or visiting www.katerbay.co.uk.

  • The EVO5000DDPS Omniwash machine is priced at £1899.
  • The BC10U comes with a 1 year labour and 2 year parts warranty and is priced at just £2799.
