Jason Marchant, head chef, Northbank Restaurant
Northbank Restaurant in the City of London has appointed Jason Marchant as its new head chef.
Marchant has spent the last few weeks perfecting his new 'modern-British menu with a West Country slant', which will change on a monthly basis. His new a la carte menu launches on 4 April featuring an Cornish Mead - a honey-based alcoholic beverage that was brewed in monasteries during the time of King Henry VIII and is enjoying a bit of a revival.
The chef is keen to promote small independent British suppliers in his new menu, namely Lake District farmers for beef.
