De Vere Village Urban Resorts is placing an extra focus on attracting the family market with the launch of Vinny & Vito, a new healthy casual dining Italian restaurant brand which the hotel group hopes will appeal to what it calls an ‘increasingly broad variety of guests’.

Vinny & Vito has already been implemented into three of De Vere’s hotels this month - in Swansea, Manchester and Manchester Bury. A fourth will be opened in Cardiff on 1 May, and more will be rolled out to other locations throughout the year.

“The Vinny & Vito brand is an exciting addition to our restaurant portfolio, enabling us to provide guests with the option for lighter, healthier casual dining,” said Paul Boyce, the F&B director at De Vere Village Urban Resorts.

“Italian food is universally loved and is the ideal fit for our customers. We are very excited to be able to recreate the Italian kitchen experience that has become so popular, using the finest ingredients to produce authentic Italian fayre.

On the menu

“We will be providing delicious menus at reasonable prices plus excellent offers including two-for-one deals and special kids menus.”

Aiming to satisfy family, group and corporate guests, Vinny & Vito offers healthy, rustic pasta and pizzas served up in a traditional Italian fashion. Dishes on the menu include antipasti and stone baked pizzas through to salads, pasta and Italian meat dishes. 

Prices range from £2.95-£7.50 for starters, £8.50-£22.50 for mains and desserts from £4.95.

At the end of 2012, De Vere announced it had secured a site in Portsmouth​for the first new-build under the brand since Robert Cook took over as chief executive​and re-launched the portfolio previously known as De Vere Village Hotels.

Last month, BigHospitality reported that De Vere had signed three deals to launch its first Scottish hotels​under the Village Urban Resorts brand with chief executive Cook​hoping the properties in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen will be open by autumn 2014.
