The event arm of contract caterer Amadeus has signed a contract worth £2.5m to be the catering provider for the Scottish Open for the next five years.

Amadeus, who has worked on the event for the last 14 years, will operate all catering outlets for visitors and players during the four day tournament as well as providing all corporate hospitality.

Peter Adams, director of international championships for PGA said: “We’re delighted to be continuing the working relationship with Amadeus. They are an award-winning team who inspired us with their approach, their ideas and overwhelming passion."

This year’s event will return to Castle Stuart Golf Links, Inverness for the third successive year.

Amadeus managing director Kevin Watson said: “We are extremely proud that Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open has chosen Amadeus as their sole catering provider for the next five years. This win shows recognition of the highly innovative approach we have brought to the table, and of our growing reputation."
