Story, Bermondsey, London - 16 April
Earlier this month, Tom Sellers, the 25-year-old British chef who has worked with Tom Aikens, Thomas Keller and Rene Redzepi, finally opened his long-awaited first restaurant - Story - on Tooley Street in Bermondsey.
The restaurant is on the site of a former toilet block, which has been knocked down and rebuilt to create a 40-cover restaurant with a small bar area. The British dishes on the menu are 'ingredient-led and steeped in history' with highlights including Three Bears Porridge.
"They are simplistic in idea, yet technical in execution, with a bit of youthful fun thrown into the mix," Sellers told BigHospitality.
Story opened on 16 April.
