Huhtamaki has expanded its range of disposable tableware
Disposables manufacturer Huhtamaki has added two newly-designed square plates to its Chinet range of single-use tableware.

Product details:

The two square plates are available in ‘Classic White’ and offer hospitality business and foodservice operators an alternative to traditional round tableware.

Both plates are sturdy yet lightweight and can be used to serve hot and cold foods or complete meals. Being microwave safe, they can also be used to cook on.

Huhtamaki has said both the new plates are ‘ideally suited for serving premium quality foods’:

  • The side plate (16cm) is designed for canapés, desserts and salads.
  • The main plate (24cm) can be used to serve top-end main course dishes such as lamb cutlets, fillet steak and seafood.

USP:

The product’s environmental credentials - Chinet provides caterers with a single-use disposable tableware solution which is made from 100 per cent recycled material from paper cup cuttings that have been recovered from Huhtamaki’s own manufacturing facilities.

The original paperboard also comes from sustainably-managed forests.

Availability:

The new plates and the entire Huhtamaki range can be bought directly from the manufacturer.

A Huhtamaki spokesperson said the plates offered more than a simple saving on washing-up time: “Designed with contemporary service in mind, caterers can use the square plates to present modern cuisine to customers. The new plates are perfect for buffet-style event catering or for catered canapé receptions, and guarantee to deliver stylish presentation from every angle.”
