The ANNT Candle Company has launched two new non-toxic votive and tealight candle products which are now available to UK hospitality buyers.

Product details:

Canada-based ANNT Candle Company was founded earlier this year by a husband and wife team who were keen to manufacture all natural, non-toxic candles for the hospitality industry.

The firm currently manufactures and sells votive candles (15 hour burn time) and tealights (siz hour burn time) made from 100 per cent pure organic vegetable palm wax - the products are made from sustainable palm resources and are free from petroleum-based paraffin wax or animal fat.

The candles, which feature a slight palm scent, will be joined in a few months time by ANNT Eco Fuel - a new natural oil candle featuring a fuel made from natural plant seed oil which will burn longer than traditional paraffin oil candles.

USP:

The candles manufactured by ANNT Candle Company are made from organic vegetable palm wax - most candles are made using paraffin wax.

Availability:

ANNT Candle Company's products are available online but buyers from the UK should contact the firm directly for full availability and price info.

Price:

In Canada a box of 300 tealights costs around £75 and a box of 180 candles costs around £85. UK hospitality businesses should contact the firm directly for more info.

Why should you buy it?

Caine Ruckstuhl, founder and owner of the ANNT Candle Company, said his company's products did not give off harmful fumes, unlike regular candles: "Most restaurants use regular candle wax or oil candles because of the low cost. What they don't realize is that these candles are made from a petroleum by-product called paraffin.

"It's made from the sludge waste left over when crude oil is refined into gasoline and contains up to 11 carcinogenic compounds. Toxic paraffin candle fumes are linked to cancer and have serious effects on pregnant women, elderly, children and people with allergies or asthma. The toxins get into your lungs, food and clothes."
