American craft beer brewer Fordham Brewing Company has added a West Coast style India Pale Ale to its range.

Product details:

Fordham Brewing Company's Rams Head IPA is a 7.5% ABV craft beer made in the 'aggressively hopped' West Coast style. The beer contains pale, munich and rye malts as well as Bravo, Chinook and Motueka hops. It is available in 355ml bottles and 30 litre kegs.

USP:

The beer is the latest from the American Fordham Brewing Company, established in the USA in 1703, but which only launched into the UK this year. The beer, named after the US bar which revived the brand in 1995, is aimed at experienced craft beer drinkers and will appeal to pubs and bars 'looking to assert themselves as serious contenders in the premium ale market' according to its UK brand owner.

Price:

Available on demand from suppliers.

Why you should buy it:

Interest in craft beer shows no signs of slowing down and the latest addition to Fordham's range is designed to add extra interest into the category. Rams Head IPA is already on draught at selected London Bar Works venues and at Jake's Place in Edinburgh and will be served during Porter House in Covent Garden's American Beer Festival.

Graham Richardson, general manager at Heathwick said: “Rams Head IPA represents a departure from Fordham’s characteristic sessionability. As symbolised in the slogan, this beer challenges drinkers to defy the ordinary and take life by the horns. We are excited to see the reaction of its presence in the UK market – just the talk of its arrival amongst trade has caused quite a stir.”
