Fourth has developed new software that can provide hospitality businesses of all sizes to analyse all aspects of the business, from labour, to purchasing and profits, at the touch of a button.

Fourth Analytics is the latest piece of software to be developed by Fourth, the software-as-a-service (SaaS) company that works with more than 1,000 hospitality groups in 50 companies. The product is designed to produce instant reports for businesses of any size and allows the owner or manager to analyse the results of almost 300 different key performance indicators, reports and charts, looking at areas such as staffing, purchasing alongside sales. Fourth Analytics allows companies to 'slice' information in a number of ways, such as by region, or by single restaurant, hotel or pub location. Information can also be segmented by hour, day, week, month or year. 


Fourth chief executive Ben Hood said that until now, this kind of information had 'been the preserve of giant companies with giant budgets', but now was available to all. "Fourth Analytics will allow companies with five or 1,000 sites to access key information that will drive better decision making, greater efficiency and higher profit.  This is Rolls Royce management information for all – this is the democratisation of business intelligence for the hospitality industry," he said. 


Exact price available from Fourth, although it states that entry costs will be low as the software will be supplied on a subscription model and is available on the cloud.
