Event caterer and restaurant company Rhubarb is now operating the newly opened Café Bar at the Royal Albert Hall, following a major refurbishment of the concert hall’s South entrance.

The Café Bar is situated within the new ‘Zvi and Ofra Meitar Porch and Foyer’, named after the duo for their contribution towards the cost of refurbishment. It is the Royal Albert Hall’s sixth dining space and 14th bar.

Commenting on the renovation, the Royal Albert Hall’s chief executive Chris Cotton said: “We’re delighted with the results and the opening of a new catering space within the building for anyone to visit or enjoy - even if you aren’t seeing a show here - and look forward to offering more people than ever before, access to one of the world’s most iconic buildings.”

The Café Bar will be open seven days a week, serving breakfast and lunch. The refurbishment was delivered on a budget of £2.2m, completed in time for the BBC Proms this summer.
