Rawduck opened yesterday at 5 Amhurst Road and is described as a wine shop-come-bar, which also serves coffee and breakfasts.
The venue is counter service only and more all-day dining orientated than its older sister with a breakfast menu and large assortment of snacks alongside more substantial dishes including a Reuben sandwich and the ‘Dirty Bird’ (chilli roast chicken, iceberg and jalapeno mayonnaise) and raw chopped beef, shaved radish, Sriacha and Parmesan, anchovy, thyme, lemon and Parmesan toasts.
Like Ducksoup, Rawduck will be big on natural and bio-dynamic wines, which customers can also take away.
Ducksoup was launched by former Hix Restaurants employees Clare Lattin, Rory McCoy and Julian Biggs in September 2011.
