The Lockhart, Marylebone, London - 24 June
Run by two Texan couples, The Lockhart restaurant in Marylebone has opened with an experienced restaurateur at the helm.
Bunmi Okolosi, former manager of Peruvian restaurant Lima and former maître d' of Dinner by Heston Blumenthal, was invited to join the project as a business partner and restaurant manager after meeting Gwen and Chris Wren and Shelby and Dunny Wanstrath in Lima restaurant last year.
The 70-cover restaurant is inspired by the cuisine of the American Southwest - Andrew Justice, who previously worked in fine dining for contract caterer BaxterStorey, heads up the kitchen and has helped create a quarterly changing menu including dishes such as pork belly, buffalo fillet and Lockhart smoked chicken.
