Yamas! unveils its new Chilli Halloumi Burger Slices ready for the barbecue season
Futura Foods, which earlier this year launched its Yamas! range of Greek and Cypriot cheeses into foodservice, has launched a Chilli variant of its Halloumi Burger Slices.

Product details:

The new Chilli variant of the Halloumi Burger Slices feature slices of the Cypriot cheese, typically made of sheep, goat and cow's milk, infused with chilli to add an extra kick to menus. With its high melting point, halloumi is suited to grilling and serving in paninis or burgers or as an alternative to barbecue options for vegetarians. The product is available in cases of 10 units with each unit containing four 50g slices.

USP:

With the barbecue season underway, the Chilli Halloumi Burger Slices can provide an interesting alternative for vegetarians. The pre-prepared burger sized portions are also convenient for busy chefs and caterers and can help cut wastage in the kitchen.

Price:

RRP £2.60 per unit (4 x 50g)

Availability:

Available from the Futura Foods Yamas! sales team on 01666 890 500.

Why you should buy it:

The demand for halloumi in the UK is continuing to rise, according to Yamas! marketing manager Rhian Kinman and this product provides another point of difference.

She said: “The UK imports over 3m kilograms of halloumi each year. That’s twice as much halloumi than its nearest competitor, Sweden, and our consumption dwarfs that of much larger countries such as the USA and China. It’s no surprise then that, with its highly innovative and unique format, Yamas Halloumi Burger Slices have been one of our best selling products since we launched the range last year.”
