Nespresso has partnered with French Michelin-starred chef Mauro Colagreco to create Crealto - a Nespresso Grand Cru coffee inspired by gastronomy - which will be exclusively available to business customers for a limited period this summer.

Product details:

Mauro Colagreco, chef patron of the two Michelin-starred Mirazur restaurant near Nice, has inspired Nespresso to create a blend using washed Arabica coffees from South and Central America and Indonesia.

Crealto has been developed as a partnership between Colagreco and Nespresso's green coffee specialist Alexis Rodriquez. Rodriquez said he had been inspired by the chef's cooking techniques - he is known for long roasting ingredients at low temperatures in order to maximise their flavour and aroma.

“At Nespresso we are always looking for innovative ways to surprise our customers with unique coffee experiences,” he said. “We have worked with world class chefs for a long time, as there are many synergies between Nespresso and the world of high gastronomy.

"We were inspired by Mauro’s creative spirit and inventive gastronomic techniques, resulting in the unique taste profile of Crealto.”

The beans used in the Crealto coffee are roasted at a low temperature for three times longer than the beans for the majority of Nespresso coffees.

With a flavour intensity of eight, Crealto features a rounded, roasted aroma profile with little acidity.

USP:

To accompany the new coffee, Mauro Colagreco has created four coffee recipes exclusively for use by high-end hotels and restaurants.

Availability:

Crealto will only be available for a limited period this summer to Nespresso business customers - including restaurants and hotels.

"We are challenged to drive and respond to this demand, which is why our limited edition Grands Crus for businesses are so popular. We supplement our existing range of eight Grands Crus with unique limited edition blends to further excite and surprise our customers."
