The Notting Hill restaurant led by head chef Brett Graham, came in at number one, ahead of Marcus Wareing at the Berkeley and The Square, after receiving the highest score of all London's restaurants in the list, compiled by online London guide All In London.
To compile the list a team at website All in London have formulated a mathematical algorithm which indexes a range of restaurant awards, guides and reviews from the last year, such as the National Restaurant Awards, The Observer Food Monthly awards, the Michelin Guide and the Good Food Guide. Each restaurant is then given a score and ranked accordingly.
Graham, whose restaurant came first for a third year in last year's National Restaurant Awards and moved up one place to 13 in this year's The World's 50 Best Restaurants Awards, said he believed success came from 'constantly working hard and trying to improve'.
"We enjoy what we do and I hope that comes across to our customers. We want to make sure they have the best possible experience," he said, before crediting his business partners too.
“My Ledbury business partners Nigel Platts-Martin, and Phil Howard who I worked with at The Square when I first came to London have both taught me a huge amount. I am also constantly learning from the great young, energetic team I have around me at The Ledbury.”
While All In London depends on existing awards, lists, guides and reviews to compile its list, it has predicted its own 'ones to watch' which it believes could make it onto next year's list. They are Restaurant Story, Balthazar, Duck & Waffle, Lima, Bubbledogs and HKK.
Printed copies of The All In One Ultimate Restaurant List, out today, will be available from selected outlets in London.
