One year on from the re-launch of retro alcopop Hooch, UK distributor Global Brands has revived two more flavours in response to public demand. 

Product details:

Hooch Orange and Hooch Blackcurrant are now available alongside the original lemon RTD, which has experienced double-digit month-on-month growth since Global Brands announced it was back on the market in July 2012.

As with the original flavour, Hooch Orange and Hooch Blackcurrant are available to the on and off-trade sectors in 500ml bottles, designed to be served over ice in a pint glass. The Hooch range is 4% ABV.

USP:

After a ten-year absence, the new variants were chosen by Hooch fans via a social media campaign asking consumers to vote on the flavours they would most like to see revived.

At the peak of their popularity, Hooch Lemon, Orange and Blackcurrant were selling a combined volume of around two million bottles per week.

A multi-million pound media investment is planned to successfully launch Hooch Orange and Blackcurrant to the public, and Global Brands’ targeted investment package for customers will focus on promoting the new flavours and the brand’s ‘over ice’ serve through bespoke PoS, in-outlet activation and staff training.
