Douglas Campbell, manager, George Hotel

The four-star George Hotel​ in Edinburgh, part of PH Hotels group, has announced the internal promotion of Douglas Campbell​ to hotel manager following four years with the company as director of regional sales.

In his new role, Campbell will be responsible for overseeing the hotel’s day to day operational functions including housekeeping, bar and restaurant and front-of-house. He has over 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry having previously worked for high-profile companies including Hilton and Sodexo Prestige. 

Campbell said:  “The George is one of Edinburgh’s finest hotels and I am excited to take on this new role. We are coming into one of our busy seasons now with the Edinburgh Festival just around the corner and I’m looking forward to building on the fantastic reputation of the George and bringing fresh new ideas to the business.”
