Channel 4 is searching for professional chefs and amateur cooks to take part in a new prime time cookery show.

The Taste will take the form of a national culinary contest and will see dishes tested and judged by TV chef Nigella Lawson, American chef and TV personality Anthony Bourdain and French chef Ludo Lefebvre.

Produced by CPL Productions, makers of A League of Their Own and All Star Mr & Mrs, the UK version of the American TV show of the same name, will aim to put cooks who can 'deliver fantastic flavours and culinary flair' in the spotlight and make one person its winner when it airs next year.

To apply to take part in the show, complete the online application form including an image of yourself and of your food.
