Gidleigh Park executive chef Michael Caines is to develop a food-to-go range for London department store Harrods.

Pre-prepared meals inspired by dishes from Caines’ forthcoming book Michael Caines at Home, will be available from the Traiteur counter in the store’s Food Hall from 10 September for two months.

Dishes will include Roulade of salmon rillettes; Beef bourguignon with rosti potatoes and red wine sauce; Bouillabaisse with sea bass, prawns, scallops and salmon; Chocolate orange confit mousse and Apple tart.

Caines, who also oversees food and beverage operations at all Brownsword Hotels, follows Anna Hansen as the latest Harrods Chef of the Season. It is the first time the chef has developed a range for retail.
