Slated to open its doors in late November, the name of the venue is to be confirmed, but will have a standalone identity in-keeping with the seafood wholesaler’s approach to rolling out their brand thus far.
David Cook (Bocca di Lupo, Moro, 40 Maltby Street) has been confirmed as head chef while Richard Seldon, who oversaw the opening of Soho’s La Bodega Negra, is signed up as general manager.
The 90-cover restaurant will be created by Corriander Buildings and Undercover Architecture. The project is described as a bold and innovative seafood experience that will offer 'spectacular visual displays of seafood in both volumes and breadth of varieties never previously seen in London'.
Founded in 2003, Wright Brothers made its name supplying oysters to top London restaurants. The opening will take the duo – who currently operate the Oyster & Porter House in Borough Market, the Soho Oyster House and the Ferry Boat Inn in Helford Passage, South Cornwall – to four sites.
