French-inspired restaurant and café group Villandry will open its third restaurant this autumn in London's St James's.

The 170-cover two-storey restaurant will open in November at Waterloo Place and will become the company's second London location.

The food at Villandry St James's will have a French Mediterranean slant and include dishes such as dressed Devonshire crab salad, avocado and cucumber jelly and 28 day dry-aged Galloway steak fillet served with chips & Béarnaise sauce.

Villandry was launched by Jamie Barber in 2006 in Great Portland Street. He went on to open a second restaurant at Bicester Village in Oxford under the brand in 2008 before selling the business to Village du Pain founder Philippe Le Roux in 2011 who said he had expansion plans for the brand.
