The entire contents of The Hempel London, one of London’s most iconic luxury hotels, is being sold off this month as the five-star property has ceased trading.

Situated next to Hyde Park, the site is being redeveloped into 18 luxury apartments by investment and development firm Amazon Properties.

As a result of the hotel’s closure, its complete stock of furnature, fixtures and fittings will be going under the hammer, providing an opportunity for other hospitality industry buyers.

“It is not often we get to deal with such a well-known property as The Hempel Hotel, so we are very excited about this sale,” said Mark Flynn, director of Sales at Pro Auction, which is managing the sale. “Unsurprisingly we are already dealing with a huge amount of interest, both from the UK and abroad, and are preparing ourselves for a packed house on sale day.”

The auction will take place on Thursday 12 September at the hotel premises - 31-35 Craven Hill Gardens, London. For more information, visit www.proauction.ltd.uk.
