The Hotel Marketing Association's 20th year of its awards sees the introduction of three new categories
The Hotel Marketing Association (HMA) is marking the 20th year of its annual awards with the introduction of three new categories which it says better reflect the industry today.

This year's awards, sponsored by American Express, will see the introduction of Best Website, Best Media & Public Relations Activity and Best Partnership Marketing Campaign alongside the Young Marketer of the Year award, introduced eight years ago and Best Use of Social Media in Marketing, which made its first appearance last year.

HMA chair Linda Moore said: “Marketing has changed beyond all recognition in the past 20 years and we wanted to make sure that the categories that we have chosen reflect where hotel marketing is today. Winning a marketing award from the HMA is a great accolade. There are some great campaigns out there and what better than to get some recognition for them. “

Previous winners over the last 20 years include Jarvis Hotels, Country Club Hotel Group, Whitbread Hotel Company and Hilton National as well as names still with us today including The Savoy, Hilton International and Gleneagles.
