Red Dog doubles up with American Sandwiches in Hoxton

The 26-cover diner, which opened yesterday (15 October), offers 15 hot and cold subs, four hot dogs and a selection of sides, salads and desserts.
Head chef Tim Tolley - formerly of Vong NYC, Vong London and Plateau – has devised the menu, with produce coming from aged, Scottish beef, outdoor-reared pigs and free-range chickens.
Subs will include Philly cheesesteak (Scottish rib eye, Vidalia onions); The Cuban (roast pork, chorizo, Swiss cheese, mustard and pickles); and the Po’boy (southern fried catfish, remoulade sauce, lettuce, tomato and pickles).
Design LSM have fitted out the restaurant which features leather banquettes and highballs paired with stainless steel topped tables, mirrors and a large mural depicting American icons of the past 100 years running down one side of the room.
Berk, a former Carluccio’s restaurants and events manager, opened Red Dog Saloon in 2011.
Red Dog American Sandwiches is now open at 38 Hoxton Square, London.
