Tanner & Co, the events-driven restaurant and bar on Bermondsey Street, played host to over some of the area’s top chefs on Wednesday night (6 November), to raise money for a national children’s charity.

Toby Stuart, executive chef of the recently re-launched Village East and neighbouring gastropub The Garrison; Jose Pizarro; Antico’s head chef Nick Schizas and Tanner & Co’s Justin Saunders together helped create The Bermondsey Village Harvest - an exclusive feast for over 130 guests in aid of the Magic Breakfast.

A total of £12,621 was raised collaboratively from all participating Bermondsey Street restaurants, which will help the charity deliver free breakfasts to 7,500 primary students; to help them concentrate on learning at school with two schools in the neighbouring vicinity.

Adam White, co- founder of the Village London restaurant group, which raised the majority of the funds, said: “We have always aspired our venues to be more than just restaurants, but platforms from which we can give back to the community. This is our way of saying thanks to our trusted and loyal customers and supporting a cause we feel very attached to.”
