Sticks 'n' Sushi, Covent Garden, London
A year and a half after opening its inaugural UK restaurant in Wimbledon, Denmark-based Japanese restaurant chain Sticks'n'Sushi unveiled a second site in Covent Garden earlier this month.
The 120-cover venue, which offers the same menu as the Wimbledon branch and is of a similar size, is situated on Henrietta Street with a seperate entrance on Maiden Lane.
An interior of wood, leather and fabric compose the atmosphere of the restaurant, with a 'modern, timeless and cosmopolitan' design. Dishes on the menu include salmon carpaccio with trout roe, ceviche with yellowtail, shrimp and citruspearls and hotate kataifi bites.
The group's chief executive Kim Rahbek said: “We came to Wimbledon as an unknown with big dreams and were made very welcome by the locals. We have nerves, but are courageous in our team and what we do, so we can only hope to enjoy the same excitement for our new central location.”
