The charity's tenth Christmas auction opened at 10am yesterday and has so far attracted a number of bids for lots which include afternoon tea for two at The Dorchester, an overnight stay for two at The Connaught and a six-course meal with wine at Le Manoir.
Andrew Guy, chief executive of Ed's Easy Diner, whose company has donated a £50 voucher and a range of merchandise, said: "The industry is known for its competitive side and the last-minute bidding war tends to whip everyone into a shopping frenzy. The auction is a great way to avoid the crowds on the high street and enables participants to pick up bargains from fantastic establishments from the comfort of their own homes. Christmas can be a difficult time but Hospitality Action works hard to ease the burden faced by many.”
The auction will close at 2pm on Friday 6 December. To take part visit www.32auctions.com/HospitalityAction_Auction.
