Novotel London Wembley is due to open in April 2014
Shortly after announcing that its business will be divided in two in a bid to maximise operational performance, global hotel operator Accor has announced the signing of a new hotel in Wembley for one of its midscale brands, Novotel.

The 235-bedroom Novotel London Wembley will be operated under a management contract and is due to open in April 2014. It will offer 12 adjacent long-stay apartments, to meeting rooms and and 'In Balance Fitness' facility.

"I am pleased to welcome the Novotel London Wembley to our midscale portfolio in the UK," said Accor's managing director Thomas Dubaere. "Like all of our hotels, the Novotel London Wembley will open in a strategic location and has been specially developed to cater to the needs of every guest, whether they are staying for business or leisure.

"The signing of this hotel particularly strengthens our presence across the capital, and the hotel is ideally located for our guests to take advantage of all that Wembley Stadium and the Greater London area have to offer."

Novotel hotels are positioned in key locations in the heart of major cities, business districts and tourist destinations. The brand’s UK flagship opened in Blackfriars in 2012, and Accor recently announced the signing of a new-build Novotel at Canary Wharf and the Novotel Brentford, due to open in 2015 and 2014 respectively.

Last month, Accor's new chief executive Sebastien Bazin announced that the business will be split into ‘HotelServices’ – a hotel operator and brand franchisor – and ‘HotelInvest’ – an owner and investor. Read full details here.
