Vietnamese restaurant chain Pho has secured another two sites in London - in Chiswick and Battersea - as part of its plans to open five restaurants over the next year.

The company, led by Stephen and Juliette Wall, will open a 70 cover restaurant on Chiswick High Road and an 80-cover restaurant on Battersea Rise early next year, growing its London presence to nine and UK presence to 11.

Stephen Wall said: “Chiswick and Battersea are two of London’s most vibrant suburbs and we’re really happy to have secured great sites in both areas. We’re working hard on developing other key London and national opportunities at the moment following our very successful openings in Leeds and Islington over the last few months."

Pho, which gained backing from Isis Equity Partners last year and recently appointed a head of property and a head of marketing to help its aim of growing the estate to 25 over the next three years, has also secured a site at the new Birmingham Grand Central development.

The new shopping centre will open some time next year above the city's renovated New Street station.

"In moving out into the regions Grand Central Birmingham was the ideal location for us - a visionary design and great central location, plus the vibrancy of the view over the busiest rail concourse outside London all makes a great setting.

Pho, named after Vietnam's national dish, currently operates nine restaurants in the UK - Clerkenwell, Oxford Circus, Westfield White City, Brighton, Soho, Westfield Stratford, Spitalfields, Islington and Leeds.
