New packaging has been designed to make it easier to distinguish between Sharwood's cooking sauces, stir fry sauces and accompaniments with products colour coded by category and featuring a calorie flash on the front of each pack.
Mark Rigby, executive chef at Premier Foods said: "Chinese New Year provides caterers with the perfect opportunity to boost sales during January - a notoriously challenging month for the foodservice industry. At Premier Foods we can offer a range of solutions for caterers with our Homepride and Sharwood's brands, which includes ready to use sauces and accompaniments"
Rigby advises caterers to advertise their Chinese New Year offerings in advance of the date (31 January) and use accompaniments such as prawn crackers to 'upsell' the meal experience.
The competition, which runs until 10th February 2014, will allow one entrant to win a Microsoft Surface Tablet by simply submitting their details at the correct place on www.premierfoodservice.co.uk
