Hakkasan takes majority stake in US-based Enlightened Hospitality Group

The move means the restaurant and nightclub operator, which already operates five restaurants in the US, will be a majority stakeholder in EHGRP's business, which includes the Searsucker and Herringbone restaurants and has fully acquired the Stingaree nightclub in San Diego.
"We are delighted to welcome Enlightened Hospitality Group into the Hakkasan Ltd. family as we move forward with our plans for expansion in the US," said Nick McCabe, chief operating officer of Hakkasan. "This is an exciting time for everyone involved and our first priority will be to expand upon the success of EHGRP’s current venues by introducing the existing brands into additional markets both domestically and internationally."
Both companies will now work on the launch of Herringbone at the Mondrian in Los Angeles, which will open its doors later this month.
