Mercure named best midscale hotel brand at the Business Travel Awards
Mercure has continued its winning streak by picking up the award for best midscale hotel brand at the Business Travel Awards 2014. 

The hotel brand, which is part of the Accor group, was previously named best midscale hotel group at the British Travel Awards in November last year, and in May 2013 was named the ‘most improved brand of the year’ in the BDRC guest survey.

 Thomas Dubaere, managing director for Accor UK & Ireland said: “We are delighted to receive these accolades from The Business Travel Awards. 2013 was a fantastic year for Mercure, and it is great to see this success being built upon in 2014 as the brand continues to strengthen its UK presence.”

Other winners at the Business Travel Awards, which took place in London on Monday, included Hyatt Hotels & Resorts, which was lauded as the Best Upscale Hotel Brand and Malmaison, which won Best Small Hotel Company.
