Jason Atherton will help charity Farm Africa raise thousands of pounds by preparing the menu for its Food for Good Ball

Chef Jason Atherton has pledged his support for charity Farm Africa by preparing a special menu to be served at its Food for Good Ball next month.

The event, which takes place on 27 March at London's Victoria and Albert Museum, will see 250 guests also entertained by former England and British Lions rugby legend Martin Bayfield as Master of Ceremonies.

Money raised from the event, sponsored by ABP Food Group and Compass Group UK & Ireland, will go towards helping end hunger in Africa.

Atherton said: “All of us who work in the food and hospitality sectors need to do more to help those struggling to produce enough food for their families and communities to eat in incredibly challenging circumstances. That is why I am so proud to be supporting Farm Africa through the Food for Good Ball.

"By coming together to raise as much money as we can on the night, the food and hospitality sectors can show just how much we can all do in the coming year and beyond to support Farm Africa’s work in tackling hunger – for good"

The Ball is the first of a number of fundraising events planned to run this year. Members of the industry whoo have already supported the charity include Ashley Palmer-Watts, Paul Foster, Paolo de Tarso and John Freeman.
