Italian restaurant group Carluccio’s has become the fifth brand to sign up for a site at Silverburn, the upcoming out-of-town shopping centre in Glasgow.

Opening in October this year, Carluccio’s has taken a 3,650 sq.ft unit in the Winter Garden, the heart of the leisure complex, alongside a new 14-screen Cineworld cinema.

Simon Kossoff, Carluccio’s chief executive, said: “We opened our first Carluccio’s on Glasgow’s Nile Street some years back to much success and hope that our second venture in the city will prove as successful as our first.”

Chris Daly, catering leasing executive at Hammerson, added: “This announcement highlights the pull of Silverburn as a destination for brands not only because of the great catchment, but the complete offer it provides – from shopping and dining to leisure.”

Carluccio’s joins Zizz, TGI Friday’s, Pizza Express and Cosmo within the 100,000 sq.ft leisure development which is currently under construction. Another four restaurants are set to complete the dining offer.
