Further expansion for business-focused Holiday Inn
InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) is pursuing its intention to make Holiday Inn a market leader in the meetings industry, with the development of two new business-focused hotels and new-look rooms at its Heathrow property.

IHG’s owner partner Dominvs Group today (14 April) started construction on the 306-room Holiday Inn Manchester – City Centre, offering meeting and conference facilities in the heart of the city.

Due to open in 2016, the hotel will also incorporate Holiday Inn’s signature Open Lobby, which combines a front desk, lobby, restaurant, bar, lounge area and business centre into one space.

Dominvs is also planning to open the first Holiday Inn in Dumfries on the site of an existing hotel near Easterbrook Hall and Conference Centre. The 71 bedroom hotel will open this spring.
