The company’s 4.5 per cent abv Gold Cornish Cyder is made by second-generation family business Healeys, which has been making cyders (the Cornish way of spelling cider) from its farm in Penhallow, near Perranporth for over 25 years. The farm attracts over 400,000 visitors per year. Last year the company invested in an in-house kegging system to keg their cyders on site.
The product is marketed as a quality, competitively-priced pouring cyder to sit alongside Healeys’ premium Rattler brand.
Available since 10 March 2014, the product is distributed by St Austell Brewery to pubs and bars across south-west England, and the company hopes to see it served in 150 outlets by July.
Why you should buy it:
Joe Healey, commercial director at Healeys, said: “Healeys Gold Cornish Cyder is very much a crafted cyder with each batch blended individually, tasted and quality-tested here on the farm.”
