Matty Bowling
Brighton eatery Terre à Terre has appointed Matty Bowling has its new head chef.
Bowling will take over the management of the restaurant’s kitchen and its team of 23 staff and work closely with the restaurant’s co-director Amanda Powley to develop developing new dishes for the menu.
Originally from New Zealand, Bowling has worked at Ottolenghi, Restaurant Gordon Ramsay and the Ledbury since arriving in the UK. He has also previously worked as a private chef in southwest France and the Basque country, where he developed a speciality in the art of pintxos and small plates.
Powley said: “We are overjoyed to have Matty at the furnace of all things Terre à Terre, he is a wonderfully creative chef and well respected by all the team. We look forward to new and exciting dishes and plans for the future.”
