Renaissance in talks to open Battersea Power Station pub

Renaissance’s founding trio – Mark Reynolds, Nick Fox and Tom Peake – confirmed to BigHospitality that they start working on a new pub there next year.
“We’ve had meetings with the developers there and they’re keen to get people that are local to the area. They don’t want big chains in there, they want it to be a bit more niche, and we fill that gap quite well,” Reynolds said.
The 1m sq. ft. retail development is bound to attract wide interest, but they believe their presence in the Battersea area will give them an edge in negotiations.
“It’s a huge development, and developers are looking for people with a presence in Battersea and who are good at what they do,” Reynolds added.
Renaissance just re-opened The Latchmere on Battersea Park Road after extensive refurbishment, and launched their first hotel rooms above the Tommyfield in Kennington Cross.
