Foodservice suppliers Brakes has launched a new range of sauce pellets to help chefs save time while delivering consistent quality sauces.

Product details

The frozen sauce pellets are available in 2.5kg packs in white wine, red wine, spiced tomato and butter sauce flavours. To prepare, caterers just need to add water or stock to two pellets, allow them to melt and bring the sauce to simmering point.

Brakes claims the sauce pellets will deliver time and labour savings, as well as producing consistently high quality sauces.

Why you should buy it:

Petra Zargarani, Brakes’ head of product Marketing, said:  “Running a kitchen is tough and creating sauces from scratch takes time to ensure consistently good results every time.  Our research highlighted the need for time-efficient ingredients that deliver the highest quality, consistent results with every dish.

“Our new sauce pellets help operators to deliver this, enabling them to serve great tasting sauces that add value to their dishes and create a point of difference. In addition, caterers can be safe in the knowledge that the sauces will be ready in time for service and they can also reduce wastage by using only what they need.

“It’s a great opportunity for chefs to help boost profit margins by premiumising their dishes, as well as varying the menu.”
