The Cross Inn in Cowbridge, Wales, has won a £3,000 makeover by celebrity interior designer Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen and P&G Professional.

The makeover took place on 13 June, and Bowen used items from his own range and P&G Professional’s cleaning product offering. Together with the supplier’s design team, he worked on the pub’s front of house, including new wall coverings, architrave mouldings and new light fittings.

The pub’s owner Arthur O’Leary won a competition celebrating the launch of P&G Professional’s range of 15 cleaning and disinfecting products available for businesses that purchase their cleaning supplies direct from distributors.

He said: “The new room feels modern and stylish and will definitely help me make the perfect first impression on my guests. I look forward to seeing my guests’ reactions when they walk in the door.  As a hospitality business owner, I understand the importance of making the right first impression and the significance of clean and fresh surroundings.”

Bowen added: “We tried to liven up the room with modern colours and shapes, whilst making sure it was all finished and cleaned to a very high standard. I am a firm believer in the small touches, making a big difference and wish Arthur continued success as his guests enjoy his first class service.”
