Five London chefs are set to reproduce the dining experience of their Michelin-starred restaurants at a pop-up venue 100ft from the ground this September.

Seating 22 guests on an open-air platform, London in the Sky will serve food prepared by the chefs in the centre of the table. A roof awning will shelter diners from rain and wind.

The menu will include breakfasts served by Anna Hansen’s The Modern Pantry, and lunch and dinner services from Benares’ Atul Kochhar; Club Gasgon’s Pascal Aussignac; Angler’s Tony Fleming; L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon’s Xavier Boyer; and Alyn Williams from Alyn Williams at The Westbury.

A Champagne Taittinger reception will be followed by a three-course lunch or a five-course dinner, paired with Villa Maria wines.

Champagne and canapés

A Taittinger in the Sky experience involving champagne and canapés is also available in the afternoon and evening.

Prices range from £50 per head for breakfast to £75 for champagne and canapés, £200 for lunch and £250 for dinner.

Atul Kochhar, of Indian-British fusion restaurant Benares said: “London is one of the greatest cities in the world and we are now being recognised as a leading culinary hub as well. London in the Sky marries our famous skyline with our highly respected food and it was an opportunity we absolutely couldn’t pass up. We can’t wait to get cooking up there.”

Dale Agar of Events in the Sky, added: “Having enjoyed a successful run on the continent we are very excited to offer Londoners the opportunity to enjoy their fantastic restaurant scene up amongst some of the most iconic skyscrapers. This event is going to be extraordinary.”

London in the Sky will take place at Canary Wharf, Wood Wharf Business Park, 100 Preston’s Road, London, E14 9SB, from 12 to 21 September 2014.
