Asian-inspired fast food brand Itsu will open its first site in the south coast city of Brighton this September.

The new 112-cover restaurant, located on the corner of West Street and North Road, is the second Itsu to open outside of London.

The Brighton venture will launch a number of new offerings from the Asian-inspired fast food brand, including a new Autumn menu, a full range of frozen yoghurt, a juice bar and a live action tea station.

Itsu was created by Pret a Manger founder Julian Metcalf and focuses on healthy, seasonal, quality fast food with an Asian influence.

Julian Metcalfe, Itsu founder commented, “We’re thrilled to have a presence in Brighton which is known to be a great trend leader in arts, culture and lifestyle, making it a strong fit with our brand.

“There’s also a huge amount of interest in healthy living and eating in Brighton but there’s nothing like Itsu available in the city.  Our aim is to genuinely revolutionise the way Brighton eats.”

There are nearly 50 Itsu shops across London, with two flagship restaurants in Chelsea and Notting Hill. The first branch outside London opened in Oxford in September 2013, and the company plans to roll the brand out nationwide.
