Formerly the Aston hotel Sheffield, the 78-bedrrom hotel has undergone a full refurbishment and now features an open-plan lobby area that combines the front desk, restaurant, bar, lounge and business areas.
The rooms and hotel facilities have also been updated, with new restaurant and bar The Foundry serving a variety of food from sandwiches and burgers to full three course meals. New event and meeting facilities can cater for up to 150 guests and there is also free Wi-Fi available throughout the hotel.
Preet Ahluwalia, portfolio manager of Dominvs Hospitality, said: “This has a big and exciting project to be part of and it has been incredible to watch the transformation of this hotel into a Mercure branded hotel - the first for the Dominvs Hospitality portfolio.
“We are very excited to be welcoming in our guests to this new hotel for them to experience all the Sheffield has on offer – or has a quick stop on their way round the UK.”
